Our story
It started with an empty road and a full battery of doubt.
Electrovolt is what happens when EV owners get tired of hoping the next charger exists — and decide to build a network they'd trust themselves.
The origin
Two founders, one EV, and a question that wouldn't go away.
Electrovolt began in 2022 in Valsad, Gujarat. We owned an electric car and loved driving it, right up until every long trip turned into a spreadsheet: where are the chargers, are they really there, will they actually work?
The problem, we realised, wasn't a shortage of chargers. It was a shortage of accuracy. Chargers placed where land was cheap instead of where journeys happen. Apps showing stations that were offline, occupied, or simply gone. Every unreliable pin on a map teaches a driver not to trust electric.
So we started with the discipline most networks skip: choosing locations the way drivers choose stops. In 2024 we incorporated as BFCEV Energy Solutions Private Limited, earned Startup India recognition from DPIIT, and began the slow, unglamorous groundwork — site research, exclusive-site proposals, and software built in-house — that a dependable network actually requires.
The vision
One-stop charging for India's electric cars, buses, and trucks.
We're starting with passenger cars on expressways, because that's where trust is won or lost today. But the network we're designing — high-power sites, 10+ guns per station, open software — is built for the day India's buses and trucks go electric too.
The mission
Replace range anxiety with relief — accurately.
Our mission is to place dependable fast charging exactly where India's journeys need it, price it transparently, and never publish a claim we can't stand behind.
Accuracy before ambition
We'd rather publish one true number than ten impressive ones. Sites are surveyed, not guessed. Claims are checked, not rounded up.
Built in India, to a global standard
Global-standard hardware, honest software, and infrastructure discipline — designed for Indian expressways and Indian journeys.
Promises kept
The one thing we want you to believe about us is simple: we deliver what we promise. Every decision gets measured against that.
The best way to understand us is to see what we're building.
